This WorkPlace is a series of print and digital publications that shows—in a highly visual, true-to-life, behind-the-scenes way—how individual businesses or whole communities operate.

This WorkPlace magazines feature photographer Owen Stayner’s black-and-white images of everyday goings-on to profile subjects ranging from a construction contractor, a lawyer, and a cake decorator to an artificial limb designer, an organic coffee roaster, and a metropolitan area’s humane society. Each production runs 12-16 pages, supported financially by a page or two of carefully selected advertising. All who have been featured rave about the upscale “family photo album” treatments.
